Revell "Hawker Hunter" in 1/32nd scale/ Iraqi Air Force 1967

Here is the Revell 1/32nd scale Hawker Hunter in markings of the Iraqi Air Force.  This aircraft was a top performer in the RAF and many other countries in the 1950s & 60s.  The Hunter was used by the Iraqis and Jordanians during the 1967 Six Day and by the Iraqis in the 1973 Yom Kippur wars.

This is a great kit and an absolute pleasure to build.  My model is painted in a typical color scheme for Iraqi Air Force planes during this time period and appears as it was provided by the British.  The Hunters saw action against the Israelis during the first phase of "Operation Moked" (Focus) in 1967 while defending H-3 airfield in Iraq.  Some aerial kills against the IDF were recorded during this attack (see Fifth photo down) in this instance by a Pakistani pilot that was training Iraqi pilots at the time.
