Egyptian Air Force MiG-17 El-Arish airfield, Sinai Desert 1967

Trumpeter Models 1/32 MiG-17 in the markings of an Egyptian jet, serving with #8 squadron (Egyptian Air Force flight demonstration team) at El-Arish Airfield in 1967 and destroyed on the morning of June 05 by the Israeli Air Force in the opening phase of "Operation Moked".
Note: Many Thanks to Mr. Tom Cooper of the "ACIG"  group for his artworks and invaluable advice helping with the creation of this scale model.

Here is my version of the Trumpeter MiG-17.  It is not an easy kit to get good results "out of box", but with TLC (Tender Loving Care) a very nice scale model will result.  The fact that it is the only MiG-17 in 1/32nd scale is a bit of a shame,  as this was an extremely important cold war aircraft.  I'd love to see Trumpeter re-tool this kit or another injection kit manufacturer release it as a new mold.

I love this plane and probably will build more.
